The Youth Home Way
Our treatment team at Youth Home is fully committed to providing the highest quality of care for teens in need of mental health treatment.
Our program addresses each child's entire well-being: Including medical, psychiatric, social, physical, and academic needs. Our therapies and activities are enjoyed in a beautiful, open, and comfortable 52-acre campus.
Important Note: The quicker both of these forms are completed and submitted to us, the faster we'll be able to process and submit the documents to insurance for approval. (We submit to insurance on behalf of the family with the client's permission).
For Out of State Families: To offer you a higher quality of care, our team will gladly help you coordinate travel for your family.
Visitation During Their Stay: We gladly offer visitation via video if you are unable to attend in person regularly, and will help coordinate in person visits. You are an important part of our treatment team, and as such, participation in Family Therapy is prioritized.
With over 20 years of experience working with families struggling with a RAD diagnosis, Youth Home, has developed and implemented a specific program to help your family.
We provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for youth who have experienced sexual reactivity, and sexual abuse trauma. *Note: This program is not appropriate for perpetrators of sexual abuse or assault.
We specialize in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based treatment that helps children and their families address the negative effects of trauma.
Youth Home utilizes many other therapeutic approaches and techniques throughout treatment to help meet the needs of each individual child.
Along with coping skills and trauma therapy, we also feel it is very important to offer living skills like social etiquette, hygiene, chores, & professional development.
Youth Home's Award-Winning Recreational Therapy Program is a vital part of treatment for each individual client, promoting social skills, independent living skills, & much more.
Youth Home is accredited by The Joint Commission, which means our health care organization continuously complies with rigorous standards and successfully corrects deficiencies identified at our most recent survey and/or review.
We have working relationships with the local hospitals and/or urgent care facilities. Whether a patient has an accident, engages in self-harm, or is in crisis (and therefore in need of additional support), we have protocols in place to get appropriate care for them immediately.
Planning for a patient’s discharge is an important step in the overall treatment at Youth Home. Discharge planning begins on day one of treatment. Our goal is to provide patients with the therapeutic and life skills necessary to function in a home setting.
In addition to meeting and exceeding credential regulations for our staff members, every staff member is fully and intensively trained in the Trauma Informed Care approach. Every person who is scheduled to work on our campus receives this training.
