Your "Out of Control" Teen May Just Need a Different Kind of Support
Let us Be your Family Readiness Advocates:
If you're overwhelmed and worried about finding a treatment option that will actually work for your child, you're not alone. Youth Home has seen many complex illnesses and hard situations, and we've been successfully addressing them to change lives and save families since 1966. We'll address your child's entire well-being: Including medical, psychiatric, social, physical, and academic needs. And the best part is: your child can feel safe and comfortable while doing it. At Youth Home,
Robust Treatment Program for Lasting Results:
We provide far more opportunities for therapy and treatment than what is considered standard throughout the week, offering 2 individual therapy sessions per week, a weekly family therapy session, group therapy, and numerous psychotherapy and recreational therapy groups. We involve the child in their own treatment plan from the very beginning, allowing them to be an active participant in their own improvement, rather than simply telling them what to do. We really believe that this approach creates longer lasting and more successful results, giving them the tools they need to continue improving when they are ready to return home.
Friendly Campus & Homelike Environment:
Our therapeutic activities are enjoyed in a beautiful, safe, and comfortable 52-acre campus (if we aren't out having fun at the zoo, skate park, local assisted living homes, and more.)
Child Safety & Protection:
We offer a 4:1 Staff Ratio (compared to the 6:1 ratio required by regulating bodies). Every staff member on campus, regardless of their level of involvement with the clients, is intensively trained in Trauma Informed Care. Safety is the highest priority at Youth Home, for staff and clients, alike. We have been focused on reducing restraints and seclusions for many years, employing verbal de-escalation to avoid them altogether when possible. Our primary goal is to create a safe environment that mitigates the risk of retraumatization for each client so they have the best chance possible to heal while in our care.
